Romantic Dining

With all the white furniture I decided that white walls would not do. Instead I opted for a soft pink called 'palace pink'. The walls needed some architectural element so we added crown molding. The molding adds an interesting touch as well as harmonize with the white furniture. We also changed the laminate flooring to a white soft carpet.  Of-course no romantic cottage would be complete without a chandelier, a present from my husband. The white china on the plate racks and in the buffet are from my wedding registry, it is the Mikasa Antique White collection. The vintage white table linen was purchased on eBay, as well as the pink oil lamp. The cherub angel statue was a gift from my husband and the wall candle sconces were a gift from my mother-in-law. The plate racks and wall mirror were purchased on clearance at HomeGoods. The plate racks were painted white since one was black and one was yellow. The rose china plates on racks and white linens in buffet were bought at the Hillsborough Antique Mall. I love how it all came together to give the dining room a touch of romance!
